Telephone Support PDF Print E-mail

Aceda offers a free telephone support call back service between 9.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday.

This means that when you contact us you will need to leave your name and number, so that a support worker can return your call when they are next available. All calls will be returned within 2 working days.

Please be aware that ACEDA is not a crisis service and we cannot guarantee an immediate response. If you require urgent assistance, we encourage you to contact Lifeline on 13 11 14 or the Adult Mental Health Service on 13 14 65.

Telephone support can assist us to:

  • Take the first step
  • Clear our mind
  • Normalise our experience
  • Reduce feelings of isolation
  • Work through anxiety-related issues
  • Access helpful information and referral options
  • Deal with setbacks
  • Reflect on our progress

Telephone support is also available to support people/carers who would like to learn how to assist someone with an anxiety disorder.  It is also a helpful way of ensuring self-care.
